A fast-growing, architecturally striking culinary and entertainment venue is seeking a driven Sous Chef who is ready to step up, take ownership, and grow into a stronger leadership role. This position is ideal for a talented cook or junior chef who has mastered the fundamentals and is eager for more responsibility, more creativity, and a clear path to advancement.

You will support daily culinary execution, help lead a diverse team, collaborate on menu development, and strengthen operational systems. This is an environment that rewards ambition, encourages creativity, and provides the runway for a motivated chef to grow.

Sous Chef – Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of back-of-house experience with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong foundation in Western, Indian, and/or fusion cuisine with interest in developing deeper mastery
  • Ability to manage daily prep, station organization, and consistent execution during high-volume service
  • Experience supporting food cost controls, inventory oversight, and BOH systems
  • Comfort leading a diverse culinary team with professionalism and positive energy
  • Strong communication and a desire to collaborate with senior culinary leadership
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a strong plus

Sous Chef – Must Haves

  • Support daily culinary execution with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Help drive menu development, specials, and creative projects in partnership with senior chefs
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety across BOH operations
  • Assist with inventory management, vendor coordination, ordering, and cost controls
  • Train, motivate, and develop team members while cultivating a respectful, accountable culture
  • Oversee labor management, scheduling support, and workflow for smooth daily operations
  • Proactively identify opportunities to elevate quality, efficiency, and systems
  • Serve as a reliable second-in-command who can step up during peak times or in the Chef’s absence

Sous Chef – Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in scratch kitchens, multicultural concepts, or high-volume operations
  • Interest in expanding knowledge of Indian cuisine and fusion techniques
  • Ability to bring creativity while following established standards and structure
  • Understanding of kitchen systems, SOPs, and workflow optimization
  • A growth mindset with the ambition to develop into a future Executive Chef role
