Sous Chef – Premier Hotel Setting

Hotel and Banquet Experience a Plus | New York City, NY

Join the culinary team at a premier, high-volume New York City hotel known for its exceptional dining, elevated banquets, and commitment to excellence. We’re seeking a talented Sous Chef to support daily operations, lead teams, and help deliver a world-class guest experience across multiple outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily kitchen operations including banquets, a la carte restaurants, and in-room dining
  • Lead, train, and mentor culinary team members to maintain consistency and quality
  • Assist with menu execution, seasonal specials, and presentation standards
  • Help manage food and labor costs while maintaining top-quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation requirements
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service
  • Act as the Executive Chef’s key support and step in as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of progressive culinary experience as a Sous Chef
  • Hotel or large-volume restaurant experience strongly preferred
  • Banquet and multi-outlet background a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage costs and maintain quality under pressure
  • Passion for hospitality and hands-on leadership style
