Role Overview

The Hazardous Material Handler is responsible for the safe storage, movement, and handling of hazardous materials, primarily gas cylinders. This role ensures compliance with all safety protocols and company procedures, supporting daily operations and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store, move, and handle hazardous material cylinders safely and efficiently
  • Maintain inventory of empty cylinders; process new cylinders daily
  • Remove and replace product labels as needed
  • Load and unload pallets of cylinders and related products
  • Receive and verify incoming products and supplies from vendors
  • Accurately place barcodes on cylinders and store products in correct locations
  • Assist with inventory management, laboratory support, and cylinder filling as assigned
  • Perform additional duties as directed by management

Qualifications

  • Experience handling hazardous materials or industrial products preferred
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and regulatory guidelines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects (up to [insert lbs])
  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
