Executive Sous Chef

Executive Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Culinary Management experience in a high-end hotel, event venue, restaurant, or catering company.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing multiple managers and 3+ hourly staff.
  • Proven experience in food preparation for events serving 500-1000 people.
  • Experience managing events with total sales exceeding $6 million.

Executive Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various market segments, including weddings, nonprofit, and corporate events.

Executive Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
  • Train and mentor senior sous chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Conduct monthly food inventories and manage food cost budgets.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Maintain sanitation procedures and ensure a clean, organized kitchen.
  • Accommodate special requests and understand dietary and allergy restrictions.
