Role Overview:
Our client – a leading national supplier to metal fabricators, fencing companies, architects, and access control professionals – are looking for a Senior Estimator that is experienced in railings and staircases, The ideal candidate can render drawings, define the project scope, and competently guide the customer through project completion.
Senior Estimator – Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare design renderings and provide additional support in the design process.
- Specify project scope and ensure compliance with building codes and safety requirements.
- Review design blueprints to determine accuracy, detailed specifications, bill of materials, labor requirements, and other resources for project completion.
- Determine accurate cost estimates for project initiation.
- Provide customer support and guidance in all stages from project start to completion.
- Establish and maintain relationships with all parties involved in the design process. Effectively communicate with internal parties and manage projects in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Oversee, manage, and train junior estimators.
- Establish a library of notes and project details to assist with future quotation processes.
Senior Estimator – Required Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in building materials, construction, and design.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
- Must have a working knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Proficiency in computer systems, Microsoft Office Suite
Senior Estimator – Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Rhino 3D and Blender is a plus.
- Associate's degree in drafting, design or construction technology preferred.
- Trade certificate or field estimating exposure preferred.
Senior Estimator – Compensation & Benefits:

- PTO dependent on tenure, 12-17 days.
