Assistant General Manager – High-Volume, Entertainment-Driven Bar & Restaurant

Join a leading hospitality group operating one of the most popular full-service restaurant and bar concepts on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Known for its lively atmosphere and themed dining experiences, this venue draws both locals and tourists seeking great food, drinks, and live entertainment.

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and can support the General Manager in leading daily operations, inspiring the team, and ensuring outstanding service and profitability.

Assistant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of restaurant leadership experience, including time as Assistant General Manager, Bar Manager, or Service Manager in a full-service, casual dining environment
  • Experience in entertainment-driven, themed, or high-volume venues preferred
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and motivate hourly and supervisory staff
  • Strong understanding of daily operations, scheduling, inventory, and guest relations
  • Ability to assist with P&L management and operational controls in restaurants with $3MM+ annual revenue
  • Calm and decisive under pressure with a guest-first mindset
  • Stable employment history demonstrating reliability and growth

Assistant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Exposure to both independent and corporate restaurant concepts
  • Enthusiastic, hands-on leadership style focused on teamwork and service culture
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Experience coordinating promotions, events, or live entertainment a plus
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs)
