Employment & Labor Attorney Requirements & Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the Texas Bar
  • 3–4 years of experience practicing labor and employment law
  • Strong background in Texas employment litigation and employment counseling
  • Experience litigating matters in state and federal court
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment statutes

Employment & Labor Attorney Must Haves:

  • Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and meet-and-confer correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, briefs, and dispositive motions
  • Represent clients in hearings, arbitrations, and court appearances
  • Defend against individual and class action wage and hour claims
  • Advise clients on compliance issues, workplace investigations, and policy development
  • Manage government responses and inquiries related to employment matters
  • Collaborate with cross-office teams to provide integrated legal solutions

Employment & Labor Attorney Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Trial experience or significant deposition and motion practice exposure
  • Experience drafting employee handbooks, employment manuals, and policy documents
  • Familiarity with class action and wage and hour litigation
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with precision and efficiency
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
