We are looking for a forward-thinking Executive Medical Director to lead the launch and growth of our Emergency Care hospital in the Southern California area. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, entrepreneurial veterinarian who is passionate about shaping medical culture, building strong teams, and driving clinical excellence.

**This position will require relocation to Southern California

What You’ll Do

  • Lead medical strategy and set the standard of care across our hospitals
  • Develop and implement hospital-specific SOPs to ensure consistency and quality
  • Partner with leadership to manage budgets and achieve growth targets
  • Build and mentor high-performing DVM teams with a focus on development and resilience
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and client-centered care
  • Engage with clients and staff to create a warm, welcoming, and professional environment
  • Participate in leadership training and Executive Medical Director forums

What We’re Looking For

  • DVM with a valid California license or the ability to obtain a CA license
  • 7+ years of veterinary practice experience required
  • 3+ years of Surgical experience required
  • Proven success in mentoring and developing veterinarians
  • Comfort and expertise in managing emergency care cases
  • 2+ years of P&L responsibility preferred
