AVP for Facilities Operations Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive facilities management experience, ideally within higher education.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business, architecture, or related field (or equivalent career experience).
- Expertise in fiscal management, budget oversight, and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of building inclusive and collaborative teams.
AVP for Facilities Operations Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for maintenance, custodial, grounds, residential, and fleet operations.
- Oversee a team of ~350 employees, including directors and union staff, ensuring high-quality service and continuous improvement.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen operational efficiency, implement best practices, and deliver reliable campus operations.
- Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and professional growth for all staff members.
