Human Resources Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (BS in HR preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Prior experience working with union employees (Local 100 or similar strongly preferred.
- Corporate HR background with strong generalist knowledge
- SHRM certification preferred
- Ability to support front-line managers with employee relations, policies, and compliance matters
- Proven record of stable employment: no more than two jobs in the past 5 years unless a career progression or a clear explanation is provided
Human Resources Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in a unionized environment within food service, hospitality, or corporate services
- Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate setting
- History of promotion and tenure within previous employers
- Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness to support a diverse workforce
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior HR leadership and regional HR partners
This is a great opportunity for an HR professional with union experience to play a key role in supporting the NYC accounts. You’ll work closely with managers, employees, and HR leadership to drive compliance, employee relations, and overall workforce engagement.
