Clinical Director – Sterling, VA

Clinical Director Benefits and Compensation:

Clinical Director Requirements & Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
• Active clinical license in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD)
• 5+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
• 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally in a PHP/IOP setting
• Clinical supervisor credential preferred

Must Haves:

• Oversee daily clinical operations and staff performance
• Ensure documentation and treatment practices meet regulatory and payer standards
• Lead clinical supervision, case reviews, and interdisciplinary meetings
• Partner with leadership to support care continuity and program outcomes
• Help with staffing, recruitment, training, and scheduling
• Maintain a safe, ethical, and therapeutic environment for clients and staff

Clinical Director Preferred Background & Skills:

• Familiarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, trauma-informed and co-occurring care
• Training in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, or other evidence-based models
• Experience with HIPAA compliance, Joint Commission standards, and EMR systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Passion for client-centered, innovative treatment models
