Clinical Director – Sterling, VA

Clinical Director Benefits and Compensation:
- Competitive salary: $110,000–$120,000, based on experience

Clinical Director Requirements & Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Active clinical license in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD)
- 5+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
- 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally in a PHP/IOP setting
- Clinical supervisor credential preferred
Must Haves:
- Oversee daily clinical operations and staff performance
- Ensure documentation and treatment practices meet regulatory and payer standards
- Lead clinical supervision, case reviews, and interdisciplinary meetings
- Partner with leadership to support care continuity and program outcomes
- Help with staffing, recruitment, training, and scheduling
- Maintain a safe, ethical, and therapeutic environment for clients and staff
Clinical Director Preferred Background & Skills:
- Familiarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, trauma-informed and co-occurring care
- Training in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, or other evidence-based models
- Experience with HIPAA compliance, Joint Commission standards, and EMR systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for client-centered, innovative treatment models
