Restaurant Assistant General Manager

This respected, chef-driven, Boston-based restaurant group is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to work alongside the General Manager in leading all facets of the operation. Be part of a well-known, established, and growing Boston restaurant group dedicated to excellence in food, hospitality, and team culture.

Restaurant Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain a people-focused culture for both guests and staff
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and consistently exceed guest expectations
  • Lead service in a fast-paced environment while ensuring operational efficiency
  • Oversee staff training, coaching, and ongoing development
  • Monitor and manage costs while upholding quality and service standards

Restaurant Assistant General Manager Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of food and beverage management experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to train, develop, and inspire team members
  • Composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations
  • Wine knowledge and a servant-leader mindset preferred
