General Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire your team – recruit, train, coach, and develop employees to deliver top performance.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service – ensure every guest has a positive experience through speed, friendliness, and quality.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations – including scheduling, labor management, inventory, and compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Drive profitability and sales growth – manage P&L, forecast business needs, control costs, and implement marketing and catering opportunities.
  • Ensure food & beverage excellence – maintain consistent product quality, oversee kitchen and barista training, and uphold brand standards.
  • Act as a change leader – communicate new initiatives, motivate the team, and create a culture of continuous improvement.

General Manager Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Manager, Retail Manager, or Hospitality Manager.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Business acumen with knowledge of labor management, budgeting, and P&L.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Passion for hospitality, problem-solving, and driving results.
