Public Tax Accounting Manager/Partner

Partner-Track CPA – Requirements & Qualifications:
- Active CPA license (required)
- Minimum 10 years of public accounting/tax experience
- Background in small to mid-sized public tax accounting firms
- Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships
- Must currently be signing off on tax returns and reviews
Must-Haves:
- Lead complex tax planning and preparation for individuals and small businesses
- Handle tax resolution, audit representation, and compliance with IRS and state agencies
- Advise on business entity formation and incorporation
- Oversee QuickBooks setup and small business payroll
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for clients
- Provide consultative guidance and strategic advisory to small business owners
- Mentor junior staff and participate in firm-wide planning and growth initiatives
Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience in tax resolution and IRS client representation
- Skilled in working with QuickBooks and similar accounting platforms
- Familiarity with business advisory services such as cash flow planning or M&A support
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive firm-wide improvements
- Experience working in a smaller, agile firm environment
