Director of Accounting Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Community Management Accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate full-cycle financial reporting.
• Serve as the senior accounting advisor to Client Boards, offering financial forecasting, strategic insights, and fiduciary support.
• Oversee tax filings, audits, banking relationships, and monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, GASB, and Florida statutes.
• Drive process improvements and implement systems that support scalable, efficient financial operations.
• Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and high ethical standards within the accounting team.

Director of Accounting Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred, not required).
• Minimum 10 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including 6+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in accrual-based accounting and financial operations in the property management or association sector.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing accounting teams.
• Strong command of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
