Assistant Restaurant Manager – Requirements & Qualifications

  • 50-hour workweek commitment
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or equivalent experience
  • Ability to manage timelines, multitask, and lead in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • ServSafe and TIPS certification must be obtained within 30 days
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull moderate weight without assistance
  • Experience overseeing staff and directing team performance
  • Customer-first mindset with a commitment to service excellence

Must-Haves

  • Daily presence during high-volume “golden hours” to support operations and staff
  • Conduct daily pre-shift stand-ups and ensure team engagement
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and proactively ensure satisfaction
  • Collaborate on forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, and requisitions
  • Submit and follow up on maintenance requests through Synergy
  • Monitor and control inventory and bar procedures, including bottle counts and waste tracking
  • Professional communication via email and phone with internal and external guests

Preferred Background & Skills

  • Previous leadership experience in hotel food & beverage operations
  • Background in luxury or upscale casual dining environments
  • Familiarity with hospitality scheduling, purchasing, and budgeting software
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Enthusiastic about creating a culture of service, accountability, and growth
