Director of Front Office – Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior Front Office Management experience in a luxury resort or large-scale property
- Direct experience overseeing Front Desk, Concierge, Loyalty, and/or Guest Services operations
- Strong command of Property Management Systems (preferably OPERA)
- Available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent leadership, communication, and guest recovery skills
- Able to manage large teams across departments and maintain daily coordination with Housekeeping, Sales, and Finance
- Physically able to navigate both interior and exterior resort grounds
- Comfortable stepping on the floor when business levels or staffing require
Director of Front Office – Responsibilities
- Lead daily standups with Resort Leadership and report directly to the Director of Rooms
- Supervise and support team leaders across Front Desk, Concierge, Ideal Services, Loyalty, and Lobby Ambassador roles
- Collaborate with the Guest Services Manager, overseeing Bell, Valet, and Transportation
- Oversee guest arrival processes, including VIPs and loyalty members
- Maintain strong lobby presence during peak check-in/out times
- Support the Concierge team with reservations and guest itineraries
- Create schedules, manage payroll, and oversee supply inventories
- Conduct team training and onboard new hires
- Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings and monthly service tradition sessions
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Attend resort-wide operational meetings, including Pre-Cons and Guest Recovery
Director of Front Office – Preferred Background & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field
- Experience leading teams at a AAA Four or Five Diamond property
- Background working within a loyalty program-driven guest environment
- Familiarity with luxury service standards and brand pillars
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
- Demonstrated track record of developing internal talent and building a strong team culture
