The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day maintenance activities and will have direct supervisory responsibility of the Maintenance Technicians and Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians.

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Leads and Develops Teams: Coaches, holds team members accountable, manages performance and scheduling, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and promotes a collaborative, solutions-driven environment.
  • Drives Operational Excellence: Uses KPIs, root cause analysis (RCFA), and data-driven strategies to troubleshoot issues, resolve recurring problems, and improve maintenance workflows and system reliability.
  • Implements and Optimizes Systems: Leverages and reengineers systems to influence behavior, ensure planning/scheduling practices, and support proactive maintenance strategies including EMP and FMEA participation.
  • Ensures Compliance and Safety: Maintains adherence to safety, environmental, company policies, and all local, state, and federal regulations while supporting the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Maximizes Efficiency and Resources: Oversees daily maintenance activities, utilizes CMMS for work orders and inventory, manages tools and manpower, and participates in hiring, communication, and

Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

  • AS in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related field.
  • A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered in lieu of and associate’s degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • 7 years of maintenance operations experience in a large scale industrial continuous process manufacturing environment.
  • Ethanol manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance procedures for processing equipment such as evaporators, heat exchangers, centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chiller, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, and instrumentation preferred. CMRP or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • General knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations for construction and manufacturing.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment, including stairs, ladders, confined spaces, and around chemicals
  • Ability to respond to and support emergency issues on a 24/7 basis and work outside of normally scheduled hours as needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
