Executive Sous Chef

This amazing people-centric, national group is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to support its Executive Chef in high volume, restaurant, catering, and kiosk operations. Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily culinary operations across multiple high-volume outlets, including a full-service restaurant, catering division, and food hall.
  • Supervise and execute large-scale catering and event service, including high-intensity game day operations.
  • Expedite service during peak times, ensuring clear communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef to manage staffing, training, and professional development for kitchen team members.
  • Maintain high culinary standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation across all venues.
  • Support menu development and recipe execution with a focus on quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor kitchen budgets, food and labor costs, and manage ordering, inventory, and receiving systems.
  • Enforce food safety protocols, cleanliness, and compliance with all health regulations.

Executive Sous Chef Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume, quality-driven foodservice environment.
  • Proven leadership in team training, development, and kitchen operations.
  • Strong background in event catering, high-pressure service environments, and recipe execution.
  • Solid understanding of cost control, menu engineering, ordering, and inventory systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and kitchen management systems.
  • ServSafe and Food Handler certifications (or ability to obtain).
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event and business needs.
