General Manager – Upscale Neighborhood Restaurant

Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 + Performance-Based Bonus

Location: Western Suburbs

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all front- and back-of-house operations with a focus on hospitality, consistency, and execution
• Recruit, train, and mentor FOH and BOH staff, cultivating a positive and accountable work culture
• Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and staff professionalism
• Manage scheduling, labor cost, COGS, and daily operational performance to meet financial goals
• Drive guest engagement through floor presence, table touches, and personalized service
• Partner with the culinary team on seasonal menus, specials, and local sourcing opportunities
• Maintain full compliance with local health, safety, and labor regulations
• Represent the brand as a local ambassador and community presence

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager in a full-service, upscale casual restaurant
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style
• Proven track record managing P&L, controlling costs, and hitting financial targets
• Exceptional communication skills and a guest-first approach to service
• Knowledge and passion for food, wine, and authentic hospitality
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example during high-volume shifts
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation & Perks

• Competitive base salary of $90,000 to $100,000
