We are looking for a Recreation General Manager to lead the operations of a dynamic, multi-use recreational facility. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who enjoys creating meaningful programs, fostering a strong team, and delivering exceptional experiences for the community.
Recreation General Manager Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing engaging recreation programs (leagues, camps, events)
- Overseeing and developing a high-performing staff
- Managing budgets, driving revenue, and controlling expenses
- Ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and fully operational
- Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues
- Promoting programs through strategic marketing efforts
- Building strong community partnerships
- Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Tracking participation and performance data to guide improvement
Recreation General Manager Qualifications:
- Proven leadership in recreation or facility management
- Experience in program development, team supervision, and budgeting
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Customer-first mindset with a passion for community impact
- Familiarity with scheduling software, safety protocols, and marketing strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field preferred
Recreation General Manager Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary plus commission on leagues, court rentals, camps, and clinics
