Job Title: Retail Human Resources Manager (Remote)
Location: Remote (Preferably based in Oregon or Pacific Time Zone)
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Travel: Occasional travel to store locations along the Oregon Coast (up to 20%)

We are seeking a dynamic and people-centric Retail Human Resources Manager to support our store teams, oversee HR compliance, and help drive a culture of development, accountability, and care.
Position Summary
As the Retail Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leading all HR functions for our multi-unit grocery operations, including staffing, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and training. You’ll work closely with store leadership to ensure that HR practices support operational goals and create an engaging workplace for all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Leadership & Partnership
- Serve as the primary HR partner to store and regional leaders
- Coach and support managers on team development, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with employees at all levels
- Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Support recruitment for leadership and hard-to-fill roles
- Improve onboarding and new hire experience across locations
- Monitor turnover trends and develop retention strategies
- Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (Oregon-specific knowledge preferred)
- Manage investigations, write disciplinary documentation, and guide corrective action processes
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
- Culture, Training & Development
- Help implement training programs for leadership, safety, and compliance
- Foster a workplace culture consistent with company values and mission
- Team-building initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-unit retail, grocery, or food service setting
- Knowledge of Oregon labor laws and HR compliance regulations
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
- Prism HR preferred
