Banquet Chef Requirements and Qualifications:

• Collaborative leadership with the ability to partner with the Executive Chef and multiple departments, including catering, sales, and customer service.
• Leadership experience in a professional banquet kitchen in a high-end hotel or resort producing at least 4 million in banquet and catering revenue
• Skills must include garde manger, savory, and some pastry exposure.
• Able to plan, execute, and follow through on multiple events at once
• Menu planning skills, prep list, and game plan for successfully executing top-quality events
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Able to monitor and control costs, food cost, labor cost, able to schedule for business, and order appropriately.

Banquet Chef Preferred Background and Skills:

• A culinary degree is preferred
• Experience with BirchStreet inventory and ordering
• An off-site catering experience is a plus
• Experience on-camera or in person, cooking demos and/ or cooking classes, and able to speak to the media
