Executive Chef Requirements and qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of Executive Chef experience in a high-volume, full-service kitchen.
- Experience as a culinary leader in a Hotel or Resort Kitchen.
- Culinary degree and ServSafe certification required.
- Possess expert-level knowledge of all aspects of banquet and catering functions.
- Strong ability to lead, train, and motivate staff; experienced in scheduling, payroll, and team development.
- Ability to collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director, leading the team
- Proficient with financial reporting, computer systems, and administrative tasks.
- Lift moderate weight, stand for long periods, and use culinary tools with skill and awareness.
Executive Chef Preferred background and skills:
- Servant leader who fosters a positive kitchen culture
- Experience collaborating with other departments to ensure success.
- Understanding of trends, menu development and up-to-date industry knowledge.
- Enjoy training, developing the team and ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Able to own and manage kitchen administrative processes, participate in departmental planning, and lead team meetings and coaching sessions.
