We’re a growing 24/7 emergency animal hospital located just 20 minutes west of Fort Worth, and we’re building out a passionate, skilled team of Veterinary Technicians. Whether you're an experienced tech or early in your career and eager to learn, this is a place where you’ll be supported, challenged, and valued.
Veterinary Technician Benefits and Compensation:
- $12–$20/hour based on experience
- $2/hour night shift differential
- 3-day work week (12-hour shifts)
- Alternating day/night shifts or permanent night shift option
- Rotating holiday schedule
- Flexible career paths including surgery, dentistry, or reproduction
Veterinary Technician Requirements & Qualifications:
- Comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts: 8a–8p and 8p–8a
- Run in-house lab tests (blood, urine, fecal) to support diagnostics
- Take and develop radiographs
- Prep and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
- Assist in surgical procedures and wound care
- Perform dental cleanings, polishings, and extractions
- Communicate post-op and treatment plans to pet owners
- Comfortably handle a variety of animals, including exotics and farm animals
Veterinary Technician Preferred Background & Skills:
- Previous experience in a vet tech or assistant role, especially in ER or mixed animal care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and calm under pressure
- Interest in specialized areas like surgery, dentistry, or reproduction
