Executive Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of current/recent culinary leadership experience in high-volume, upscale, scratch kitchens
- Expertise in live-fire cooking techniques; basic sushi knowledge is a plus
- Strong command of food and labor cost control, COGS, and kitchen financial management
- Experience leading large BOH teams in fast-paced, guest-focused operations
- Familiarity with systems including Restaurant365, Toast POS, HotSchedules, and third-party delivery platforms
- Ability to execute seasonal menu changes, specials, and kitchen systems improvements
- Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and coaching skills
- Must consistently demonstrate a polished and professional appearance and demeanor
Executive Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills:
- Prior experience in high-volume upscale culinary environments is strongly preferred
- Local Tampa or Orlando candidates are preferred, though relocation will be considered for standout candidates
- Candidates from mass-casual chains (e.g., Darden, Blooming Brands, etc…) will not be considered due to concept mismatch
