Our client is seeking a highly experienced appellate Civil Litigation Attorney for a legal firm in NYC. If you have 3–5 years of legal experience as an Attorney with a focus on civil litigation

Civil Litigation Attorney Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

  • Must have 3–5 years of appellate civil litigation attorney experience with legal firms
  • Prepare for trials, participate in trials by examining witnesses and presenting evidence.
  • Reviewing trial court records, researching legal issues, drafting briefs, and arguing cases before appellate judges
  • Presenting arguments in person before the appellate court, engaging with the judges, and responding to their questions
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred!
  • Conduct legal research, analyze case law, prepare legal arguments.
  • Assessing the merits of a case, providing guidance on the likelihood of success on appeal, and advising on whether to pursue appellate remedies
