We’re a fast-paced and growing organization seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity to be a vital part of a collaborative and supportive environment where accuracy, accountability, and professionalism are valued. This is a remote role, but must be in EST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer invoices and statements accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding payments
- Follow up with clients via phone, email, or mail regarding outstanding invoices
- Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and maintain accurate records
- Assist with reconciling accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payment discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare regular reports on the status of accounts receivable
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 3–4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable
- Construction or Industrial background required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or NetSuite)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Team player with a positive and proactive approach
