Our client, an acclaimed dinner-only restaurant, is seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join their award-winning culinary team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven professional who thrives in a refined, high-volume kitchen and is eager to grow within a well-established restaurant group.
About the Restaurant
Located in one of the region’s most vibrant dining destinations, this restaurant is celebrated for its elevated cuisine, sophisticated ambiance, and uncompromising standards of excellence. With service offered only five evenings per week and guaranteed Sundays and Mondays off, this position provides a rare balance of work-life flexibility in a fine dining environment.
Role Overview
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, maintain the highest culinary standards, and inspire the back-of-house team. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of creativity, technical skill, and leadership presence, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary team during prep and service
- Uphold consistent quality, flavor, and presentation across all menu items
- Assist with training, scheduling, and staff development
- Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are met
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the Executive Chef’s absence
Ideal Candidate
- 3–5 years of experience in upscale or fine dining kitchens
- Strong culinary techniques and a meticulous eye for detail
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate teams
- Professionalism, organization, and a team-first attitude
- Commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary
- 10 days PTO after 90 days, plus 5 sick days
- Comprehensive healthcare with employer contributions
- $900 dining allowance every four weeks
- Dinner-only service with Sundays and Mondays off
