A leading engineering and design firm is seeking a motivated and strategic Transportation Engineering Director to help lead its expanding transportation group. This high-impact role will support the public sector line of business with a focus on local municipalities and FDOT. This leadership opportunity blends project management, marketing strategy, and team development to drive success across transportation initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license in Florida required
  • 10+ years of transportation engineering experience, including FDOT roadway design
  • Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads; FDOT Advanced MOT Certification preferred
  • Lead engineering design, project management, QA/QC, and production oversight
  • Serve as Engineer of Record on transportation projects
  • Prepare/manage design and construction specs and project budgets
  • Support business development, marketing, and client engagement efforts
  • Mentor junior staff and help grow the transportation engineering team
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and project pursuits
