You must thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and uphold the stellar service standards of the restaurant's brand and reputation. This person will report to the Executive Chef. Pastry Chef Responsibilities:

Lead the daily operations of the staff ensuring quality control measures are being adhered to
Collaborate with and follow through with thee Executive Chef
Strong kitchen and leadership skills with a proven ability to coach and develop staff
Plan, prep, set up, and prepare quality products in all areas of pastry, costing, scheduling, inventory, hiring, training, and R&D
Develop workable solutions to solve department and guest-related problems
Accept the need for flexibility and respond to evolving circumstances
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a deadline-driven, demanding environment

Pastry Chef Qualifications

Proven experience working as a pastry chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar function
Expert skill set in international cuisine and technique
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Confident culinary techniques and skills with the drive for excellence under pressure
Good sense of planning and preparation
Strong organizational and time management skills
