The Engineering Technician will be working on challenging projects providing on-site construction observation along with drafting/design using MicroStation or Civil 3D. You will work alongside a team of engineering professionals on various site development and street/highway projects. Engineering Technician compensation:
- base salary $50-55k
- Discretionary annual profit-sharing bonuses.

Engineering Technician responsibilities:
- Conducting and documenting on-site observations of the project construction progress to assist the Engineer in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents
- Applying civil design principles to MnDOT & municipal projects.
- Working cooperatively with team members to deliver superior results
- Approaching projects with an attention to detail and a focus on accuracy to ensure a quality project
- Utilizing effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to communicate effectively with team members
Engineering Technician requirements:
- Associate degree in civil engineering technology or experience in related field.
- Must be able and willing to work the hours necessary to meet the demands of an ever-changing workload including working at the job site with varying weather conditions.
- Experience with MicroStation preferred
- Experience in Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of MnDOT standards and specifications
