Are you passionate about advocating for employee rights and using your legal expertise to make a meaningful impact? A dynamic and growing plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a skilled and empathetic Intake Attorney to join their team. In this vital client-facing role, you’ll help evaluate potential workplace claims and guide individuals through the early stages of the legal process in employment-related disputes.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake interviews to evaluate potential employment-related claims
  • Analyze workplace issues involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage violations
  • Apply knowledge of federal/state laws such as Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and state-specific labor codes
  • Draft detailed case assessments and legal memos for internal review
  • Educate clients on legal rights and next steps in the legal process
  • Collaborate with intake staff to ensure thorough and timely follow-ups
  • Refer cases internally or externally as appropriate
  • Maintain a compassionate and professional tone during high-volume client interactions

Required Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience in employment law or plaintiff-side litigation
  • Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple inquiries with empathy and efficiency
  • Proficiency with legal intake or case management systems a plus
