Position Summary:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day clinical operations of the nursing department within this boutique senior living community with 31 beds, comprised of Assisted Living and Memory Care. This includes leadership and development of the nursing team, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining the highest quality of resident care, and collaborating with other departments to support a holistic approach to resident health and wellness.
Salary and Benefits:
Base Salary-$110,000
Benefits- available after 90 days which includes health, dental and vision
Vacation-2 weeks, which accrues on day 1

Director of Nursing Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff; foster a positive team environment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, DOH, OSHA).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of residents to determine care needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers for integrated resident care.
- Coordinate infection control programs and quality assurance initiatives.
- Manage nursing department budgets, supplies, and staffing schedules.
- Educate staff and residents on health and wellness topics relevant to senior living.
Director of Nursing Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in [State].
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in a senior living, long-term care, or skilled nursing setting.
- Strong understanding of geriatric nursing and best practices in long-term care.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate nursing staff.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
