Senior Scrap Metal Buyer Needed! Interviewing Now!
Responsible for purchasing non-ferrous and ferrous scrap from retail customers and dealers in Illinois/Indiana.
Senior Scrap Metal Buyer Key Responsibilities
- Purchase scrap for a designated region.
- Maintain relationships with Departmental Managers and customers.
- Manage material flow between facilities and customers.
- Act as primary contact for assigned customers.
- Create bids and consult with leadership.
- Secure new material through site visits and calls.
- Develop customer lists and growth plans.
- Provide and follow up on quotes promptly.
- Respond to customer inquiries quickly.
- Submit weekly reports on activity and issues.
- Coordinate with Facility Managers and Transportation on logistics.
- Prepare and submit quotes for non-standard items.
