We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Pre-Litigation Attorney for personal injury to join our successful team. This role is essential for managing cases before they enter the litigation phase, ensuring that our clients receive the excellent care and attention they deserve.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Licensing: J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar license (in good standing). Must be compliant with all Texas State Bar rules and regulations and CLE requirements
  • Experience: 2 years personal injury experience
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor Associate Attorneys and lead case strategies
  • Technical Skills: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills. MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability to function within a case management system.
  • Negotiation & Advocacy: Strong negotiation skills and courtroom advocacy experience
  • Client-Centered Approach: Ability to maintain effective client communication and deliver high-quality legal representation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Senior Managing Attorney and works closely with the case manager, paralegal supervisor, and other legal support staff.
  • Participates in weekly department case meetings to provide case updates and planning.
  • Handles pre-litigation case files as assigned, from start to finish, with the ability to prioritize case files based on statute of limitations, length of case, value of case, or other possible potential need.
  • Responsible for management of Statute of Limitations for assigned cases, including timely vetting of pre-suit cases for litigation consideration.
  • Strategize and analyze with the Senior Managing Attorney on case values and liability, and make determinations regarding complex matters, including probable outcomes of each case.
  • Conduct legal research and investigation of claims and defenses. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments.
  • Drafts and reviews complex documents, including demands.
  • Submit time and expenses to accounting on case-related matters.
