Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities

  • Exceed the guests' expectations during service
  • Train, coach, and direct team – take initiative and respond to all opportunities to motivate and lead the team
  • Oversee ordering and inventory management, costs, and scheduling
  • Work side-by-side with the FOH and BOH teams for added support

Restaurant General Manager Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a General Manager or AGM role of an upscale full-service restaurant
  • Strong and proven leadership qualities: affable, coach mentality, leads by example, upholds restaurant standards, clear and direct, communicator
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to uphold standards, exceed expectations, and build relationships – attitude and drive are everything
  • Passionate, patient, and persistent personality
