We are looking for a Senior Accountant, who will be responsible for day-to-day accounting for more than 40 entities. The position requires partnership, individual, and trust taxation and accounting experience. This person will work closely with the accounting team to generate reporting for principals and beneficiaries
Requirements
-Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance
-CPA preferred
-3 or more years’ experience with investment firm, tax department, or family office
-Partnership tax and accounting experience
-Understanding of accounting for alternative investments, as well as highly complex Individual and Trust tax returns
-Skilled with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
-ATWeb/SEI Archway experience a plus
Responsibilities:
-Work in general ledger for all FO entities, including a public and several private investment funds, ensuring accuracy of information in order to produce financial reports and tax support
-Assist in the production of reports for the family and trustees including budgets, cash sources and uses, tax estimates, and investment performance
-Calculate capital calls and distributions for investment entities and trusts, assist in tracking expected capital calls and distributions related to investments
-Assist with tax research and prepare supporting schedules for tax preparer
-Manage day to day trading operations and matters related to prime broker, ISDA, trading and custody accounts, including resolution of trading issues, requesting locates and borrow, submitting corporate actions and proxy votes, and involvement with regulatory filings
