Luxury Hotel General Manager Key Responsibilities

Provide total property leadership and operational oversight
Manage profitability across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and event/conference operations
Develop and execute annual budgeting and forecasting strategies
Monitor financial performance and drive GOP optimization
Maintain elevated guest service standards consistent with luxury hospitality expectations
Lead talent recruitment, development, and retention strategies
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Oversee preventative maintenance, safety, and risk management programs
Collaborate with ownership, talent leadership, and department heads
Support community engagement and mission-focused programming

Luxury Hotel General Manager Qualifications

10+ years of progressive hospitality leadership experience
5+ years in senior hotel leadership roles such as Hotel Manager, Resort Manager, or Hotel General Manager
Strong Food & Beverage operational leadership experience (required)
Full-service luxury or upscale independent boutique hotel experience
Proven P&L management and forecasting expertise
Multi-department operational oversight (Rooms + F&B required)
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
