We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations for a large-scale, high-volume hospitality and entertainment venue. This role blends hands-on operational leadership with strategic oversight and is responsible for execution, financial performance, team leadership, and delivering a consistently strong guest experience across bars, entertainment programming, and shared public spaces.
The General Manager is a visible leader who sets expectations, builds structure, and ensures operational excellence. This role requires comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple points of service, high guest volume, and frequent events.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Lead all day-to-day venue operations, ensuring consistent execution of standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintain a visible leadership presence during peak business periods and major events
- Ensure strong coordination across bar operations, entertainment, facilities, and venue teams
- Uphold high standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and guest experience
Bar, Beverage & Service Operations
- Oversee execution, staffing, and cost controls across all bar and beverage operations
- Lead bar leadership and bartenders as venue employees
- Ensure consistency in beverage builds, service standards, and guest experience
- Manage ordering, inventory, receiving, and cost of goods for beverage programs
- Oversee beverage menu rollouts and seasonal updates
Financial Performance
- Maintain ownership of venue-level P&L performance
- Drive profitability through disciplined labor management, scheduling, and overtime controls
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings
- Partner with accounting to ensure accurate inventory counts, invoicing, and financial reporting
People Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and develop management and hourly teams
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Build strong bench strength and accountability across leadership roles
- Foster a professional, high-energy, and guest-focused work environment
Entertainment & Events
- Collaborate with internal partners to plan and execute entertainment, events, and activations
- Ensure operational readiness, staffing, and execution for live events and high-volume periods
- Review performance and operational effectiveness of programming and make adjustments as needed
Facilities, Vendors & Compliance
- Maintain facility standards in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Oversee third-party vendors and service providers
- Ensure compliance with all applicable alcohol service, employment, and safety laws
Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of hospitality leadership experience
- 3–5 years as a General Manager or senior leader in a high-volume, complex venue
- Strong operational instincts with the ability to lead from the floor when needed
- Proven experience managing bar and beverage operations at scale
- Strong financial acumen with full P&L ownership
- Experience leading large teams with layered management structures
- Excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making skills
- ServSafe and alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
