A growing real estate and hospitality group is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations across restaurant, commercial, and residential business lines. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning the numbers, keeping systems tight, and supporting a fast-moving, entrepreneurial leadership team.

This position offers strong long-term growth for a professional who wants broad exposure across accounting, payroll, and operational finance in a multi-entity environment.

Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Perform general bookkeeping including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process invoices and ensure accurate, timely vendor payments
• Track and reconcile restaurant cash receipts
• Support leadership with financial reporting and tax preparation

Payroll & Compliance

• Process payroll, including tipped-wage and tip-reporting compliance
• Maintain payroll and tax records
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations

HR & Administrative Support

• Maintain employee files with accuracy and confidentiality
• Manage onboarding and offboarding, including I-9, W-4, and tax documentation
• Administer contractor records and payment documentation
• Collect and file payroll and timekeeping documents from location managers

Staff Accountant Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and tip-reporting compliance
• Experience with QuickBooks & Google Docs
• Comfortable managing employee and contractor documentation
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity business environment
