Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Requirements & Qualifications

  • Active New York licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Active Medicare provider enrollment (Medicare ID)
  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Comfortable serving Medicaid and Medicare patient populations

Telehealth Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Preferred Background & Skills

  • Telehealth and in-office clinical experience
  • Strong decision-making and triage skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume of rapid, virtual patient visits

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual urgent and primary care visits to patients across New York using a secure telehealth platform
  • Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions, including respiratory infections, UTIs, minor rashes, GI issues, and flu or COVID
  • Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal telehealth regulations
  • Identify cases requiring escalation or in-person referral, ensuring patient safety
  • Document each visit accurately within required turnaround times
  • Meet established productivity and quality-of-care expectations
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical leadership as needed
