Marine Diesel Technician – Engines & Systems

Overview

Are you a skilled diesel mechanic who thrives working on marine engines and complex systems? This role offers hands-on work with inboard diesel engines across a range of personal and commercial vessels — performing everything from routine maintenance to full diagnostics and repairs. You’ll be part of a professional, safety-driven team committed to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and high-quality repairs on marine diesel engines and related systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, disassembly, and reassembly of key engine components.
  • Inspect and test systems to ensure vessels meet performance and safety standards.
  • Document all repair activities, service notes, and inspection results accurately and on time.
  • Provide recommendations and communicate findings to the service team or customers.
  • Follow all safety procedures and industry standards at every step.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in diesel service, marine systems, or heavy-equipment repair.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engine components, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software (Caterpillar ET, SIS, or equivalent) and basic computer applications.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Commitment to quality work and a safety-first mindset.
