Tax Manager – Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)

Locations: Batesville, Columbus, Greensburg, Indianapolis

Type: Full-time | Hybrid

As a Tax Manager, you’ll guide a talented team, oversee diverse tax engagements, and build long-term client relationships that fuel the firm’s continued success.

What You’ll Do as a Tax Manager

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and nonprofits

• Lead day-to-day tax engagements in accordance with firm policies and budgets

• Analyze accounting data and financial statements

• Research complex tax issues and identify planning opportunities

• Communicate directly with clients and provide proactive recommendations

• Stay up to date on federal and state tax regulations

• Mentor and develop junior staff

• Perform additional duties as needed

What You Bring as a Tax Manager

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting

• 6+ years of public accounting experience

• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role

• CPA preferred or EA

• Experience with Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 990

• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge

• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CCH experience preferred but not required

• Comfortable learning new software and cloud-based systems
