A national leader in refractory contracting, industrial furnace systems, and automation services is seeking a personable, organized, and self-motivated Sales Representative to manage and expand an established book of industrial clients throughout the Louisville, KY region.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in industrial sales, project coordination, or manufacturing client management who’s ready to step into a consultative, relationship-based sales position. You’ll inherit key accounts, oversee upcoming multimillion-dollar projects, and have the freedom to grow your territory with full training and technical support.
Position Overview
- Location: Louisville, KY (field-based with some in-office time)
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000/year
- Commission: 1% – 5% of gross project cost (uncapped)
- Annual Earnings Potential: $100K+ based on active project pipeline
- Current Booked Work: $3–5M in scheduled projects for 2026
- Travel & Entertainment: All business-related costs covered (meals, lodging, golf, events, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
- Take over and manage established relationships with several key industrial accounts.
- Serve as the main point of contact for active clients: follow up, consult, quote, and manage expectations
- Conduct job walks, gather site requirements, and work with estimating and operations teams
- Coordinate the delivery of refractory contracting services for casting, melt, and furnace projects.
- Represent the brand with professionalism, integrity, and clear communication.
- Use internal tools to maintain project status, sales tracking, and forecasting
What We're Looking For
- Sales or project management experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting
- Ability to actively listen, build trust, and maintain strong client relationships
- Highly self-motivated and organized with strong follow-through
- Willing to learn technical solutions and terminology (training provided)
- Comfortable visiting hot, loud, or dusty industrial environments as needed
- Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills; CRM and quoting tool experience helpful
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Background (Not Required)
- Familiarity with refractory materials, furnace systems, or foundry operations
- Former melt managers, casting engineers, or maintenance leads transitioning to sales
- Construction or project estimating experience is a plus
