Surgical Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:

• Assist with sterile surgical procedures, anesthesia administration, monitoring, and patient recovery
• Take radiographs with proper positioning and assist with diagnostic testing/lab work
• Start patient appointments, gather history/vitals, and present to doctor
• Discharge patients with client education on at-home care and medications

Surgical Veterinary Technician Requirements:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform frequent physical tasks
• Associates degree and veterinary technician registration highly preferred
• 1+ year surgery/anesthesia experience required
