Director of Housekeeping – Maui, HI

Our Maui-based vacation rental and property management company is seeking an experienced Director of Housekeeping to oversee operations for our 390+ upscale properties across the island. With a local team, sustainable practices, and a commitment to five-star hospitality, we’re proud to offer guests the best of Maui — and we need a strong leader to uphold our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cleanliness and presentation for all guest-ready units
  • Manage full-time and contract housekeeping team (15+ team members)
  • Coordinate daily and weekly schedules, especially during high turnover periods
  • Monitor inventory levels and order linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental standards
  • Track departmental KPIs including guest feedback, labor efficiency, and quality control
  • Be accessible by phone for urgent team needs and willing to work a flexible schedule (weekend availability required)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 3–5 years in a housekeeping leadership role in high-volume settings (100+ vacation rentals or 300+ hotel rooms)
  • Able to live in Lahaina
  • Proven team builder with excellent communication and delegation skills
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering luxury service
  • Able to lift 30 lbs and perform on-site inspections as needed
  • Bilingual in Tagalog, Spanish, or Ilocano is a plus
  • Experience with green cleaning practices is a bonus
  • Local candidates (Maui or other Hawaiian islands) are strongly preferred
