We are a global leader in airport environmental services, with a primary focus on managing and processing glycol effluent from aircraft deicing operations. We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team and help drive operational excellence. In this role, you will work closely with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment used in the distillation system and related processes, with a strong emphasis on health, safety, and environmental stewardship for all stakeholders.

Production Manager Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in fluid processing
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of processing systems, including motors, pumps, heat exchangers, and instrumentation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Production Manager Job Duties:

  • Monitor distillation system performance to ensure operational parameters remain within target ranges; proactively identify and correct deviations.
  • Engage with technical experts or engineering teams as needed to optimize system performance.
  • Schedule, perform, and guide operators on light maintenance tasks for processing equipment; report major repair needs immediately.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all processing equipment.
  • Ensure adequate spare parts are on hand to prevent downtime due to equipment failure.
  • Oversee fluid transfers from the collection pond to storage vessels, ensuring timely action to prevent overfill. Record volume and concentration for each load, and regularly remove solids from the collection pit.
  • Track and record daily volumes of fluids transferred and processed.
  • Assist with glycol recycling processes, including operation of concentrators and sanitary systems.
  • Support the production of proprietary fluids as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Assign duties and monitor Processing Operators to ensure tasks are completed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all operator documentation is completed accurately and filed promptly.
  • Maintain timely, accurate reporting, record keeping, and communication in line with company policies.
  • Operate and maintain all processing equipment professionally, and train operators in its proper use.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all processing equipment.
  • Perform and guide operators in conducting light maintenance tasks, and report major repair needs immediately.
  • Abide by Inland’s procedural handbooks, operational plans, and management guidelines to ensure all work meets specifications and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all Government Labor, Health, and Safety laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Promote and enforce adherence to safety and regulatory standards at the site level, holding employees accountable.
  • Follow all safety and environmental policies to maintain a healthy workplace and minimize environmental impact.
  • Foster a culture of safety by modeling safe behavior and encouraging open reporting and shared safety responsibility.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff across departments to support smooth and efficient operations.

Production Manager Physical and Work Environment:

  • This Supervisory role involves a mix of fieldwork and office duties, with a strong emphasis on achieving operational goals on-site.
  • Work conditions may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, humidity, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and high noise levels.
  • Flexibility in schedule is required, including occasional work outside regular hours to meet operational or customer demands.
  • The role demands physical fitness, including the ability to stand or sit for long periods, bend, kneel, lift, climb (up to 15 feet), and operate tools and industrial valves.
  • Must be capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds occasionally and performing general labor tasks such as hose handling and equipment operation.
  • Requires full mobility and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in high-risk environments.
  • Strong sensory and communication abilities are necessary, including clear speech, efficient hearing, and vision requirements such as close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagram) and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
