Fire Suppression Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Fire Suppression Service Technician to join our Fire Protection Services team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of kitchen fire suppression systems through inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in system diagnostics and committed to ensuring life safety and property protection for our restaurant, cafeteria and hotel kitchen customers.

Fire Suppression Service Technician Responsibilities

  • Inspect, perform maintenance and necessary repair of fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with local, state and national code.
  • Install new systems
  • Train client staff on proper use and maintenance of fire suppression systems
  • Prepare and maintain service reports documentation
  • Coordinate with fire inspectors for approvals and certifications
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during field work.
  • Stay current with the latest fire protection technologies and safety standards

Fire Suppression Service Technician Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fire Protection Certification
  • 2+ years of experience working with fire suppression systems or related field (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards, specifically NFPA 96 and 17A (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical manuals (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer service abilities
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
