We are looking for a Controller to add to our accounting department! If you are interested in a family-style atmosphere with growth opportunities, this could be the role for you!
Controller Essential Functions
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Manage the company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit approval, collections, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial statement integrity, coordinating with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audits, financial reviews, and tax filings
- Develop and analyze budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including but not limited to acquisitions and capital investments
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, HR, and Legal, to align financial planning with company objectives and ensure financial health across departments
Controller Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 7+ years of accounting experience, with some being in leadership role
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software
